Eagles end season with first round loss

CHICKASHA, Okla. (Nov. 5, 2010) – The Oklahoma Christian men's team came to the end of their season with a 5-1 loss against the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma on Friday afternoon in the first round of the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament.

The Eagles struggled from the get go against the No. 21 Drovers. The USAO men pounded the OC goal with shots and took no time gaining the lead with their first goal scored just three minutes into the game.

Minutes later, the Drovers increased the margin to a 2-0 lead and took off to a 4-0 lead with back-to-back goals just midway through the first half. The Eagles held USAO from scoring any additional goals before heading into halftime.

Not long into the second period, however, the Eagles yielded another goal to the Drovers to fall to a 5-0 lead from which they were unable to recover.

With just over 20 minutes left in regulation, OC's Logan Frampton connected on a shot to put the ball into the USAO net to get the Eagles on the board.

The rest of the half remained scoreless for both teams leaving the Drovers with the 5-1 victory.

The defeat finishes out the Eagles' season with a 5-13 record and a 5-6 record for conference play.
