Former Oklahoma Christian soccer player Troy Tippeconnic became an assistant coach for the Eagles with the 2019 season, after spending the previous two years as a student assistant.

Tippeconnic, from Edmond, played at forward and midfielder for the Eagles from 2013 to 2016, making 45 starts, scoring three goals and adding 10 assists.

He was particularly effective on free kicks and corner kicks. He scored a memorable goal on a 45-yard free kick in a 5-2 win over Southern Nazarene in 2013.

His older brother, Tom Tippeconnic, also played for OC from 2010 to 2013.
