Our Visual Identity Guide demonstrates proper usage of OC's athletic logos. We hope you will find these guidelines useful.
About Our Identity
The accomplishments of OC athletes and coaches in the playing arena, in the classroom, and in the community all contribute to the positive perception that the world at large has of Oklahoma Christian University.
This visual identity package gives OC Athletics an identifiable "brand" that complements and enhances OC's successful image. More than colors, seals, and logos, our identity is an important communication tool and must be employed with care and consideration.
Protecting Our Visual Identity
OC's athletic logos should never be altered, animated, or appear in any other color without approval by the Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations or the Director of Editorial Services. Graphic filters, such as drop shadows, bevels, 3-D effects, embossed, or glows should not be applied to any OC athletic logo.
Official OC Athletics Logos
There are four primary elements in the package of OC athletics logos: 1) an eagle head; 2) a stylized treatment of the word "Eagles;" 3) an "OC" mark; and 4) an "Oklahoma Christian University" wordmark. These logos serve as the official marks for all of OC's athletic teams.
When any of OC's official athletic logos are reversed in a one- or two-color format on a dark background, the eagle head is rendered in a special manner such as the logo at right. Never use "non-reversed" versions of OC's athletic logos on a dark background in a one- or two-color format.
Font Standardization
The official font of OC Athletics is Standard MedCond (Mac) and Zurich XCn BT (PC). This font is used in the "Oklahoma Christian University" wordmark that is part of the OC Athletics logo package. Any treatment of the term "Oklahoma Christian" should be produced in this font whenever possible. The athletic department has specified a generic "athletic block" font as the preferred alternative whenever Standard MedCond or Zurich XCn BT cannot be used.
Official OC Athletics Colors
The official colors for OC Athletics are Maroon, Silver, Tan, Black and White. Below is a color chart of the appropriate choices for process, spot and web colors to use when reproducing the logo or when producing uniforms, apparel, gear, etc. OC's primary maroon color is a custom, darker hue of PMS 195. NOTE: OC's official color values were revised in May 2008.

"The Dr Pepper Rule"
No ... Oklahoma Christian University isn't endorsing a particular brand of soft drink. But we are grateful to our friends at Dr Pepper for providing us with a handy "quick reference" guide for color matching of fabrics, screenprinting inks, etc.
If OC's maroon color cannot be matched precisely through CMYK or RGB mixes, etc., it can be approximated by matching the maroon background color on a Dr Pepper can. It should not resemble the brighter red color in the Dr Pepper logo. Vendors ... when in doubt, Be a Pepper!
