PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (Aug. 4, 2013) – Oklahoma Christian golf signee Dana Todd finished 43rd in her age group in the prestigious Optimist International Junior Golf Championship, which wrapped up this weekend at the PGA National Resort and Spa.

Todd, from Winnipeg, Manitoba, shot rounds of 87, 77 and 77 on a pair of par-72, 6,015-yard courses. With a three-round score of 241, she barely missed the cut to the top 40 and ties in the 89-player field for the girls 15-18 age group.

Todd qualified for the event by winning the Manitoba Optimist Junior Open earlier this summer.

Participants in the Optimist International event through the years have included LPGA Tour players Nancy Lopez, Heather Farr, Michelle McGann and Stacy Prammanasudh and PGA Tour players including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, John Daly, Ernie Els, Nick Price, Davis Love III, Justin Leonard, Corey Pavin, Rick Fehr and Craig Stadler.
