GROOM, Texas (April 28, 2014) – Zach Holloway, a standout athlete from the tiny Texas Panhandle town of Groom, has signed to play men’s basketball at Oklahoma Christian, OC coach Dan Hays said Monday.

The 6-foot-7, 180-pound Holloway averaged 13.6 points, 10.5 rebounds and 4.8 blocked shots per game as a senior at Groom High School. He shot 56 percent from the field and 32 percent from 3-point range for the Tigers.

Holloway was named as the defensive most valuable player for District 2-1A and also received honors in basketball. In football, he received all-district, all-region and all-state honors. He also earned Academic All-State honors in both sports.

“We are excited to have Zach come to Oklahoma Christian and be an Eagle,” OC coach Dan Hays said. “He will be an asset to our program in the coming years.”
