OC finishes 4th in San Antonio; Arrese Cortadellas’ streak continues

SAN ANTONIO, Texas (Feb. 19, 2013) – Oklahoma Christian maintained its fourth-place position Tuesday on the final day of the Lady Rattler Roundup at Old Dominion Country Club.

OC sophomore Anna Arrese Cortadellas kept alive her impressive streak of never finishing outside the top 10 in any collegiate tournament. She fired a 5-over-par 77 on the 5,820-yard course to jump six spots into a tie for 10th at 155.

Senior Sarah Harper posted the best score of the day for the Lady Eagles, a 75 that left her tied for 12th in the 88-woman field at 156. Another senior, Morgan Dockery, improved upon her first-round score by 13 shots with an 81 that left her at 175, good for 71st.

As for OC’s other golfers, Catherine Odgers shot an 83 to finish at 160, tied for 29th, while Audrey Meisch posted an 86 and closed at 162, tied for 38th.

OC’s team score on Tuesday was a 316, giving the Lady Eagles a two-round total of 628. Tarleton State (Texas) won the tournament at 596, followed by two of OC’s Heartland Conference rivals, St. Edward’s (Texas) at 613 and Dallas Baptist (Texas) at 622.

Tarleton State’s Isabell Jimenez Perea took medalist honors, finishing the tournament at 2-under 142.
