OKLAHOMA CITY (Feb. 9, 2014) – For the second straight year, the road to the National Christian College Athletic Association World Series will run through Dobson Field.

OC again will host the NCCAA Central Region baseball tournament, coach Lonny Cobble said Sunday. This year’s tournament dates will be May 7-10. The regional champion will advance to the NCCAA World Series, set for May 14-17 in Mason, Ohio.

“They said we did such a good job last year of hosting it and wanted to know if we’d host it again,” Cobble said.

Last year, OC came through the losers’ bracket to win the regional title, beating Ecclesia (Ark.) in the championship game. It was the Eagles’ first postseason tournament win since 1972. OC went on to post a 1-3 mark at the NCCAA World Series, capping a 26-26 season.
