OKLAHOMA CITY (May 25, 2013) – Oklahoma Christian’s women’s golf team will play five tournaments during the fall 2013 season, a schedule highlighted by trips to Arizona and Florida, OC coach Greg Lynn said Saturday.

The Lady Eagles will open the fall campaign Sept. 9-10 at the Hawks Creek Invitational, hosted by Texas Wesleyan and Northwood (Texas) at Hawks Creek Golf Club in Fort Worth, Texas. OC finished as the tournament runner-up last season, with Anna Arrese Cortadellas taking runner-up honors individually.

OC’s next tournament will mark one of the team’s two Oklahoma City appearances during the fall, as the Lady Eagles will play Sept. 16-17 in the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic, hosted by Oklahoma City University at Lincoln Park Golf Club’s West Course. The tournament will be three rounds instead of the usual two.

The following week, the Lady Eagles will travel to Avondale, Ariz., to play Sept. 22-23 in the Mustang Intercollegiate, hosted by Western New Mexico at Coldwater Golf Club.

OC will return to Oklahoma City for the Central Oklahoma Broncho Classic, set for Oct. 7-8 at Lincoln Park Golf Club’s East Course. Arrese Cortadellas earned medalist honors in the tournament in 2012.

As it did in 2012, the Lady Eagles’ season will end with a trip to the National Christian College Athletic Association Invitational at The Hombre Golf Club in Panama City Beach, Fla. The national tournament will be played Oct. 21-22. OC finished as the NCCAA runner-up last season, with Arrese Cortadellas and Catherine Odgers receiving All-America honors.
