OKLAHOMA CITY (March 5, 2013) – Oklahoma Christian’s Anna Arrese Cortadellas’ most recent top-10 finish earned her the National Christian College Athletic Association women’s golf student-athlete of the week on Tuesday for the fourth time this academic year.

Arrese Cortadellas, a sophomore from Barcelona, Spain, continued her amazing streak of never having finished outside the top 10 in any of her collegiate tournaments, posting a third-place individual finish in last week’s Glen Ivy Intercollegiate at The Victoria Club in Riverside, Calif.

Playing on one of the oldest golf courses west of the Mississippi River, she fired rounds of 77, 76 and 79 on the par-72, 5,859-yard layout.

She led OC to a second-place finish behind NCAA Division II No. 9-ranked Grand Canyon and the Lady Eagles trounced No. 19-ranked Cal State-Monterey Bay by 28 shots.

Arrese Cortadellas previously took NCCAA student-athlete of the week honors for three straight weeks in October during the fall season.

So far this academic year, 16 OC student-athletes have combined to win NCCAA weekly honors in 11 sports a total of 21 times.
