DeBoard joins OC athletic staff as assistant AD for student-athlete well-being
OKLAHOMA CITY (Dec. 24, 2013) – Teresa DeBoard, who has spent almost 13 years working in Oklahoma Christian University’s admissions office, has joined the OC athletic staff as the assistant athletic director for student-athlete well-being, OC Athletic Director Curtis Janz said Tuesday.
DeBoard will guide OC’s new life skills program for student-athletes and will be responsible for game environment and community engagement activities, two areas that are key to the university’s advancement in the NCAA Division II membership process.
“We are excited that Teresa is joining our team,” Janz said. “Adding her gives us an outstanding opportunity for our student-athletes to develop in ways that we have not had the opportunity to specifically encourage before now. I believe with the addition of Teresa to our staff, we have a unique situation to develop a model Division II life skills program.”
DeBoard, originally from Del City, graduated from OC in 2000. She began working at OC in March 2001 and most recently served as the university’s director of admissions operations. She and her husband, Scott, live in Edmond.
Her brother is OC’s intramural director, Rick Judd.
